It is funny how some people got to the helms of power. Education Cabinet Secretary Matiang’i is working restlessly to ensure he cracks down on all fake degrees! And we all know where he should start! Of course, judgement starts from the top, and in this case, Kenya’s County number #001!

The governor in the place has been in court for far too long using well-paid lawyers to justify his degree. In 2013, Hassan Joho’s degree was quickly thatched and formatted before it was delivered to the IEBC-at least, that’s what the Ugandan University told the Daily Nation. Funny enough, it seems that the IEBC either ate some chicken, or went to some form of hibernation because they never scrutinized it an inch. Anyway, these are the same people who allowed Oscar Sudi to go ahead and vie without an O-level High School certificate.

But, it’s easy to guess that most governors have degrees. Ferdinand Waititu, at least, proved to the whole world that Punjabi University exists in the list of India’s best training colleges. Kabogo has used his eloquence in the Queen’s Language to push us beyond doubt. But, what about Ali Hassan Joho?

Well, his case is funny- or rather, absurd! Today, he has a degree certificate, although the KSCE document looks dismal inside out! Even without a Diploma, he was able to take a University course even after scoring straight E’s!

We wont judge, but, the social media is circulating a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) certificate with Ali Hassan as the holder’s name. And, it isn’t one of the best! Have a look and be the judge!
